New Liquor Act 2019 and Regulations

The Northern Territory Government is committed to modernising the Liquor Act 1978 in response to the 2017 Alcohol Policies and Legislation Review Final Report (the Riley Review).

On 14 August 2019 the Liquor Bill 2019 passed the Northern Territory Parliament.

The Liquor Act 2019 and Liquor Regulations 2019 will come into effect on 1 October 2019.

A copy of the Liquor Act 2019 will be available from the Northern Territory Legislation Database from 1 October 2019.
